What we checked on Posh
The fee per ticket
Posh adds one combined service fee covering its platform charge and card processing on top of the organizer's base price; the help center shows an example where fees add roughly 10% but never publishes the actual rate, cap or per-ticket component.
Service Fee: Posh platform and credit card processing fees calculated automatically from your input.
Who pays the fees
The buyer pays Posh's fees on top of the base price, since the organizer's take-home is the ticket price plus any custom fees; an organizer who wants to pay the fee themselves out of the ticket price lowers the base price until the display price hits the target.
On the page: All-In Pricing, Compliance, and Financial Tracking - The All-In Formula
Card processing
Stripe processes the payments and card processing is bundled into the single Posh service fee rather than charged separately, but the vendor's pages never state the processing rate itself.
On the page: The Real-Time Cost Calculator section, Service Fee definition
All-in price at checkout
Every price shown on the Explore feed, event pages and ticket buttons is the full amount the buyer pays including mandatory fees, which Posh ties to the FTC rule on unfair or deceptive fees.
Posh utilizes an All-In Pricing model to maintain legal compliance... the price displayed on the Explore feed, event pages, and ticket selection…
Fees on refunds
On an ordinary organizer-issued refund Posh keeps its own fee while custom fees and sales tax go back to the buyer, so the organizer loses the platform cut; fees are only returned when Posh approves a full event refund.
Organizer custom fees and sales taxes are included in organizer-issued refunds; however, Posh fees are not refundable.
Plans and subscriptions
The only recurring charge Posh documents is a $19.99 per month subscription for a dedicated custom phone number for SMS blasts, which is an optional add-on rather than a plan, and it changes nothing about the fees on a ticket. It is non-refundable and bills whether or not any texts are sent; no monthly or yearly plan for selling tickets is published anywhere I was permitted to read.
Pricing: Dedicated routing incurs a $19.99/month subscription fee.
Sales tax on tickets
adds a tax line that you set: Posh explicitly does not calculate or collect local sales tax, and directs organizers to build tax into the upfront price with a percentage or dollar custom fee audited through the export.
Sales Tax Adjustments: Posh does not automatically calculate or collect local sales tax. Custom fees are the official method to build local tax…
When you get the money
Money is not held until after the event: sales clear to an available balance in 24 to 48 business hours, standard ACH payouts are free and take 3 to 5 business days, and an instant payout costs a flat 5%.
Standard Payout - Cost: Free (0% fee). Speed: Clears into your checking account via standard ACH in 3-5 business days. Instant Payout - Cost: Flat 5%…
Disputed charges
A disputed charge carries a $15.00 fee set by the card networks, and the organizer bears the loss: lose the ruling and Posh takes the ticket value plus the $15.00 out of the Posh balance, drawing it by ACH from the linked checking account if that balance is empty. Win it, or the buyer drops the claim, and Posh covers the $15.00 itself.
When an attendee files a chargeback, banking networks instantly levy a mandatory $15.00 upfront processing fee. If your Posh balance is empty when a…
Your buyers’ details
Organizers export buyer names, emails and phone numbers per event as CSV, sync them into a Mailchimp audience, and message them by SMS blast, though exports are per event with no org-wide download and no imports.

Ticket types and discounts
You can build unlimited tiers with their own quantity caps, timed sales windows, group minimums for bundles such as BOGO, hidden or password-locked tiers, plus percentage or dollar promo codes with usage limits.
Limit Ticket Sales Period: Automates exact start/end dates and times for public tier visibility. ... Limit Purchase Quantity: Enforces minimum or…
Reserved seating
Buyers pick a specific table or booth from an interactive floor-plan map rather than an individual seat, the map image has to be emailed to Posh support for upload, and each booking yields one QR code for the whole table.
With Posh's interactive Tables infrastructure, you can upload a custom floor plan and let VIP clients visually select and lock in their exact booth…
Questions at checkout
Custom checkout questions are collected at the start of checkout, can be required for everyone or limited to chosen ticket types, and answers come out in the CSV export rather than being filterable in the dashboard.
Targeted Gating: Make a question required for all buyers, or use Limit to ticket type to display it only when specific ticket types are selected.
Registration forms and waivers
Registration is built from custom checkout questions plus an event-level terms of service that buyers must acknowledge during paid checkout; there is no separate waiver-signature tool documented, and ToS checkboxes do not show on free RSVP events.
Checkout Acknowledgment: Platform-wide Terms of Service check-boxes and mandatory buyer acknowledgments apply automatically during paid ticket…
Timed entry
Each tier can carry a hard quantity cap plus a validity window that expires entry after a set hour or names the valid day on multi-day events, but Posh documents no bookable time-slot picker with capacity per slot.
Limit Ticket Validity: Establishes explicit entry windows or expires validity after a set hour on event night.
Waitlist
A per-ticket-type waitlist shows a Join Waitlist button once that tier sells out, queues buyers in signup order, and offers released tickets with a configurable response window and per-user limit.
Waitlists let attendees join a queue, receive an offer when tickets become available, and claim tickets within a timed window.
Sell on your own website
An iframe snippet puts the event and ticket selection on your own site, but clicking checkout or login sends the buyer to a Posh-hosted page, and the vendor states the full payment flow cannot stay in the iframe.
The complete login, payment, and confirmation flow cannot currently remain inside an iframe or modal on the organizer's website.
Website builders
embed only: Posh gives you a copyable iframe snippet to paste into WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or Webflow, with no dedicated plugin or app named for any of them and no Shopify mention; each event embeds individually.
Paste this snippet directly into the backend code or HTML block editor of your website host (such as WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or Webflow).
Add-ons
Extras are sold as ticket tiers, table packages or single-use Paylink invoices covering custom experience add-ons and vendor fees, and checkout questions capture things like merchandise sizes; no merchandise or parking add-on at checkout is documented.
Anything listed on your backend. This includes standard ticket tiers, premium VIP table configurations, group travel packages, physical vendor booth…
Recurring events
A recurring series is configured once with a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly cadence and an end date or occurrence count, but ticket tiers, promo codes and guest lists must be set per session and there is no bulk session creation.
There is also no bulk or automated session creation path - each session in a series must be configured individually.
Refunds and transfers by buyers
Buyers request refunds from their own account through the support chat for the organizer to decide, transfer tickets in the app when the organizer has enabled transfers for that tier, and cancel a free RSVP themselves.
Ticket transfer is an option to send tickets directly to someone else. ... organizers will have the option to enable or disable ticket transfers for…
Check-in app
Door staff scan with the standard Posh mobile app, either by entering a scanner PIN that needs no account or as an invited Doorperson, and one PIN works on unlimited devices at once; offline scanning is not addressed.
This is the fastest, most secure method for temporary event staff, hired bouncers, or venue volunteers. It grants immediate ticket-scanning…
Door sales
In-Person Payments turn an NFC phone into a card terminal taking contactless cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay or a custom amount, with the door cart itemized inclusive of standard fees; iPads are unsupported and Android is pending.
With In-Person Payments, you can transform your smartphone into a contactless box-office terminal. Accept credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay…
Apple Wallet
From the order page on web or in the app a buyer can add the ticket to Apple Wallet, and the pass shows the event date or, on multi-day events, the specific day that ticket is valid for.
From this page, you can also: View event info - Add your ticket to Apple Wallet - Add the event to your calendar
Listed where buyers browse
A Market My Event toggle pushes the event onto the public Posh Marketplace feed where it is ranked algorithmically and by category, with a second toggle authorizing partner distribution; no extra fee for marketplace sales is published.
Market My Event: Pushes your event onto the public Posh Marketplace Feed, making it discoverable to fans browsing for local events.
Email to buyers
Past buyers can be reached by SMS blast natively, but emailing them from Posh means connecting a Mailchimp account, which then appears as an outbound option beside SMS; there is no built-in email campaign tool.
Once connected, both your historical contact list and real-time Posh attendee check-ins will sync directly to your designated Mailchimp audience…
Ad tracking
Per-event fields accept Meta Pixel plus a Conversions API token, TikTok Pixel, a Google Ads conversion ID and a GA4 measurement ID, firing page view, add to cart, checkout started and purchase; Google Tag Manager is not supported.
Meta Pixel ID: Standard browser-side tracking that logs visitors who land on your event page from Facebook or Instagram ads.
Promoter links
Kickback offers pay promoters a percentage or flat amount per ticket or per order through personal Kickback links, public or invite-only, and each affiliate's page visits, tickets sold, GMV and commission are visible.
Rate Structure: Choose between a dynamic percentage (%) or a flat dollar rate ($), then enter your value (e.g., 10). Payout Triggers: Select whether…
Works with
Mailchimp connects natively and webhooks push order events to up to five destinations such as a CRM, Slack or Google Sheets, including through Zapier, but Posh states it does not support or troubleshoot those Zapier setups.
You can send ticket data to up to five webhook destinations at once and manage them in one place. Connect tools such as CrowdPass, Laylo, and your…
Free to start
Posh's fee is added on top of the price the buyer pays, so the organizer's take-home is the base ticket price plus any custom fees it sets, and third-party-link listings are free to list with no Posh ticketing.
Customers pay for the display price upfront. Posh retains the service fee, and your final take home consists of the Ticket Price + Custom Fees.

Contract
No contract or term is required to list and the affiliate program states exclusivity is not required, but Posh does sign exclusive contracts under which an organizer must direct all its marketing to Posh.
I have an exclusive contract with Posh. Can I list on other platforms? You can, but you must drive your marketing exclusively to Posh.
Support on event day
Support is reachable by email at support@posh.vip and by live chat on the web and in the app, with a dedicated customer success manager named for scaling organizers; no phone line or support hours are published.
